Frasers Property Industrial (Thailand) hands over a 11,000 sqm distribution center to Bolloré Logistics, catering to high demand for warehouses

Frasers Property Industrial (Thailand) Company Limited (“FPIT”), Thailand’s leading industrial property developer and a business unit of Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited (“FPT”) forges ahead with the handover of built-to suit-warehouses to customers. Its most recent development, SMILE Hub is a 11,000 square meter distribution center for Bolloré Logistics, a global leader in international transport & logistics from France. SMILE Hub is used to store and distribute international fashion products, perfumes and cosmetics of premium brands.

The new distribution center is located in Frasers Property Logistics Center Bangplee 7, in Samutprakarn, a prime logistics area. The floor loading capacity is at 3 tons/sqm with minimum operational clear height at 13 meters to optimize heavy-load commodity management. The area is allocated to be an ambient warehouse and a temperature-controlled warehouse where the temperature is kept constant at 25 degrees Celsius. To put in place extra precautions, air purifying, insect protection, temperature and humidity controlled and security systems are installed.

As FPIT and Bolloré Logistics have a common vision towards sustainability, this building is designed to meet green building guidelines and Gold level certifications by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), which provides a framework for healthy, energy-efficient and cost-saving green buildings that enhance the quality of life and environment of building users.

Highlights of the building include the installation of skylights on the roof to provide enough natural light, industrial ventilation fan and ceramic coating metal sheets with solar heat reflection value up to 96%, solar panels to reduce long-term costs, water-saving systems by the use of motion sensor in conjunction with LED lighting in the bathrooms to help reduce electricity consumption while not being used. Moreover, this distribution center adopted the universal design approach for serving every user.
